Chris Whiting is the Global Head of People & Talent at thebigword, one of the largest global language solution providers. In this role, Chris oversees all Human Resources functions across the company's international offices in the UK, India, the Netherlands, Japan, China and the US. His responsibilities include talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, reward and benefits, performance management, and cultivating a strong organisational culture to attract and develop top talent in diverse international markets.

Chris is highly passionate about Mental Health and Wellbeing, with a strong focus on implementing strategies that prioritise employee welfare across the four pillars of wellbeing, which foster a supportive work environment. He is also a dedicated advocate for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, championing initiatives that promote a workplace culture where all employees at thebigword feel valued, respected and empowered to succeed.

In addition to his role at thebigword, Chris volunteers as Vice Chair of his local CIPD branch. In this capacity, he promotes the people profession, leads events and activities for the development of HR practitioners and supports in advancement of the wider people agenda.
